Energy-saving refrigeration dryer SECOTEC Type: TA 11
saves even more energy
Compared to conventional controls, the SECOTEC refrigeration dryer saves a lot of energy during breaks, times of low utilization and downtimes due to intermittent operation. The control works without fixed run-on times. The integrated cold accumulator guarantees that the refrigeration dryer is always ready for operation. Added to this is the low differential pressure of the SECOTEC dryers. As a result, the maximum overpressure of the compressor can be designed to be lower, thus saving additional energy.

Planning note:
Please note that additional compressed air treatment components may be required for your project planning. Compressed air always contains a certain amount of solids/dust, moisture and a residual oil content (hydrocarbons in aerosol/vapor form). Depending on the application, a certain degree of preparation is required (see ISO 8573-1). We would be happy to advise you on this.
The separate condensate separator made of corrosion-free stainless steel on every SECOTEC refrigeration dryer guarantees maximum operational reliability (the separate condensate separator on the TA 5 is made of die-cast zinc). Unlike many conventional heat exchanger separator systems, it is optimally tuned and reliably separates condensate from the air flow, even with fluctuating compressed air throughput.
Low differential pressure
SECOTEC dryers from KAESER compressors work with large flow cross sections and do not require a pre-filter. The resulting low differential pressure leads to less pressure loss, so that the maximum network pressure can be kept low and service costs reduced. This pays off: 1 bar less maximum pressure means 10% lower energy costs (including leakage losses).
ECO-DRAIN condensate drain (standard from TA 8)
SECOTEC refrigeration dryers are equipped with an ECO-DRAIN condensate drain as standard. This reliable, electronically controlled arrester works level-dependent. In contrast to time-controlled solenoid valves, it does not cause any compressed air losses. The ECO-DRAIN drain saves more energy and also contributes to the operational safety of the dryer.
SECOTEC control
The SECOTEC Control intermittent regulation only switches on the dryer's refrigerant compressor when necessary. The centerpiece is the cold accumulator with high specific heat capacity. Cooled down to the switch-off temperature by the refrigeration circuit, it extracts heat from the compressed air flowing through it. When the switch-on temperature is reached again, the refrigerant compressor starts up to cool down the cold accumulator again. Contrary to what is often the case, the high capacity of the cold accumulator allows the pressure dew point to be kept stable for a long time even if the refrigerant compressor switches off immediately after the switch-off temperature has been reached. This makes SECOTEC refrigeration dryers with intermittent controls far superior in terms of operational reliability and energy efficiency.
